1. Introduction

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken over India and affected every individual’s lifestyle. People around the world have been looking for ways to keep them engaged so as avoid the boredom. What else could be a better option than expression through art. The Goal Institute has come up with this event named Lockdown Skill Competition for the young ones to race their minds and bring out their hidden talent. Students can participate in any of the two competitions or both competitions.


2. The Format

The competition endeavours on exploring and keeping alive the creative side of children at a time when all the educational institutions are closed. The event encourages submissions in the following categories: • Paintings –on canvas/paper-oil, water, colours, pencil, crayons • Poetry-any form of poetry


3. The Participants

The event encourages young and amateur artists to participate and present their thoughts, feelings, ideas on the topics of the ongoing pandemic i.e. social distancing, Corona warriors, quarantine etc. Entries from children and students of Bihar and Jharkhand from Classes 5 to 10


4. Collection of Work

Amidst the ongoing lockdown in various parts of the city, the postal and courier services are not functional. So the participants are requested to send high resolution images of paintings and word file or pdf or image of their self-written poetry to goalpatna@gmail.com. Students can also send on WhatsApp on 9334594167. All participants are requested to give their full name, class, age , address and mobile no along with their artwork. Students can also upload image on website at the given option in application form.


5. Guidelines for Submission

• Participants are requested to upload their work in PNG or JPG files with a maximum size of 5mb.

• Any form of indecent portrayal of woman, child, anti-national, caste, creed and ethnicity is strictly prohibited.

• Entries from the students will be categorised as:

Category 1 - Class 5th - 6th.
Category 2 – Class 7th – 8th .
Category 3 - Class 9th – 10th .


6. Prizes

There are a lot of prizes to be won under each category. Participation from maximum students is encouraged to showcase their artwork.


7. Important Dates
• Submission start date- 5rd May 2020.
• Submission end date - 31st May 2020.
• Result announcement and prize distribution - After Lockdown. Students will get information through msg.
